Are you sick of your pain? Many others who are in your same situation were as well. Here is what they did.
1. Identify WHY you are having the pain. Seems like an obvious thing to do however unfortunately many health care practitioners overlook this and do not properly assess the patient to determine this. You need to find a doctor or practitioner who is experienced and skilled enough to find out the WHY behind your pain.
2. Controlled Movement - This is a key in healing the tissues causing the pain. Too much motion can irritate the tissues and too little can stiffen them and add to the pain. How do you know what to do? IN general we want to avoid spinal flexion (bending forward at the waist) this will help tremendously if done for long enough. It may take a week or 2 before there is a noticeable change but it will help.
3. STOP stretching - so many of my patients come into the office doing all kinds of stretches for their pain. They do get some temporary relief but typically it does not last and many times it is actually irritating and causing more harm than good.
Do yourself a favor and find a doctor experienced to find out the WHY behind your pain, it could literally change your life!
As the clinic director and founder of The Spinal Decompression & Chiropractic Center of San Diego, Dr. Cassidy James Boelk DC loves helping patients get pain-free and back to what they love as fast as possible. He specializes in assisting people with injuries and conditions of all kinds, including chronic low back and neck pain, disc bulges, disc herniations, slipped discs, sciatica, poor posture, and other spinal-related issues. For over 15 years, Dr. Boelk has treated countless patients who have tried everything else and been unable to get rid of their pain.
Dr. Boelk & his staff are by far the BEST at spinal decompression. I walked into his office unable to sit to do my job, where I was having to lay each day & within a couple of weeks he helped me with being able to sit again. His attention to you & the way he will make you feel is unparalleled. First of all, he has suffered from some severe back issues, so his empathy is very high. Secondly, he is extremely caring & genuinely wants to help people. I’ve never worked with a doctor who has cared as much and made me feel like I was his only patient before. There would be 4 people there at the same time, and he still made me feel this way. I guess I just cannot thank him enough & cannot recommend him enough. He is an angel on earth.
If you visit him, please listen to him & follow his instructions. He knows what’s best for you.
