But before talking about price, I believe we need to answer a more important question:

Are you actually a good candidate for spinal decompression?

What Does Spinal Decompression Actually Do?

Spinal decompression is designed to gently reduce pressure inside an injured or irritated disc.

During treatment, the DRX9000 applies a controlled pulling force to the spine.

The machine gradually increases and decreases that force throughout the session.

This is important because the spine is not simply being pulled and held in one position like traditional traction.

The changing forces are intended to help reduce pressure within the disc and take pressure off irritated spinal nerves.

For the right patient, this may help with conditions such as:

• Bulging discs

• Herniated discs

• Degenerative disc disease

• Sciatica

• Pinched nerves

• Spinal stenosis

• Neck or back pain related to disc injuries

There are many tables and machines being advertised as spinal decompression.

They are not all the same.

What Does Treatment Cost?

The cost depends on the type of condition being treated and the number of sessions recommended.

Some patients require a shorter course of treatment.

Others have more severe or long-standing disc problems and may need a more involved plan.

We do not believe in putting every patient through the exact same program.

Before treatment begins, we explain:

• Whether we believe you are a candidate

• What treatment we are recommending

• How many visits may be needed

• The total cost

• Available payment options

There should never be a surprise after you begin.

Does Insurance Cover the DRX9000?

No.

Insurance does not cover true non-surgical spinal decompression performed on the DRX9000.

Treatment at our office is self-pay.

I know that matters, especially when someone has already spent money on physical therapy, chiropractic care, medications, injections, or other treatments that did not solve the problem.

That is another reason we want to evaluate you carefully before recommending care.

We do not want you spending more money on something that we do not honestly believe has a reasonable chance of helping.

We Do Not Accept Every Patient

This is important.

We tell people every week that they are not candidates for spinal decompression.

Some patients need surgery.

Some need a surgical opinion before beginning treatment.

Some have instability, fractures, severe osteoporosis, metal at the treatment level, or other conditions that make decompression inappropriate.

Some simply have pain that is not coming from a disc or compressed nerve.

My goal is not to convince you that spinal decompression is right for you.

My goal is to determine whether it is.
